Regression bug: new user interface for Find in tree by ID

On FSFT web, select menu Family Tree=> Find => Find by ID.

In new user interface (Dec 2020), the cursor is not automatically placed in the "ancestor ID" fields as it was in the older UX.

Now an extra mouse movement and click is required to paste the ID from clipboard !!!! Argh!!!

I am not disagreeing with your suggestion, Richard, but:

    (1) I'm sure this has been reported previously - i.e. prior to this month, when you suggest the problem first arose.

    (2) I find the problem so common on websites (especially when entering a date of birth on an online form, say) that I really don't find it a worry that I have to make "extra clicks" to move the cursor into a / the next field.

However, if FamilySearch engineers can fix this, all well and good.

In addition to what Paul said, I feel it necessary to point out that "find by ID" is totally and completely pointless: just go to anyone's profile and replace the ID at the end of the URL in your browser.

Another alternative is to use the recents dropdown and place the ID in that open box where it will take you to the record for the ID.

Yes, I did see it reported elsewhere, but buried among other comments.

The point is that it used to work just fine, but now it doesn't. That's why it's a regression type bug.

Right now, I am editing the URL as suggested. It's always been a close case which is quicker.
