Locate family graves within cemetaries

I would love it if I could look up a cemetery and it would show me all of my ancestors who are buried there. It would be so beneficial if I were planning a trip to a cemetery to know who to look for there. My family and I love to visit the cemetery but I need to know beforehand who I am looking for while I visit. It would be wonderful if I could go backwards and start with the cemetery first then see the graves there. It would be even more amazing if there were links connected to findagrave, billiongraves, or even the link to the plot map from the cemetery itself.

I've seen this type of thing occasionally requested here. I don't know if FS would provide such a thing, but if you happen to have one of the certified 3rd party tools that work with FS, you may already have this capability.

For example, I use Ancestral Quest. Nearly all of the person records in my AQ database are linked to records in the FSFT. These are all the records that I've actually researched and vetted. When I update the FSFT record for someone I always make sure to include where the burial location is. In the areas where I search, Nearly ALL of the cemeteries have standard names, so I record them all with the standard itself.

Then in AQ, all I do is go to the "Name List" and add a column to to table for the "Burial Location" vital. Then by just sorting on the burial location column, it lists them all in order by Burial Location which groups all of the names together in the list which were buried in the same place. Furthermore, the location sorting is smart to recognize the county, state, etc. and not just the cemetery name. Here's an example:

Sorry about the image. Apparently we can only embed images less than 1MB (according to the error message I kept getting). Even when I had scaled it down to 600KB, it *STILL* kept complaining that it was over 1MB. This is pretty sad, I can't even take a screen shot of one quarter of my screen and post it!

I took a 1.6MB version of the image and sent it to you via the FamilySearch Community messages. They don't seem to have a problem with the size, so if you can't see the one here, go check your messages

This feature has long been needed. Thank you for adding its availability to FamilySearch.org. Having the burial location for each family member as well as the GPX location of the grave(s) themselves for the related family members would be a great assist and time saver in effort and expense getting to far-away gravesites. Please consider this possibility. Thank YOU!

    FYI

    .

'Yes', NICE for the WISH List ...

    .

But, very, very, LOW on the PRIORITY List.

    .

In "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' there are many, MANY, more IMPORTANT Features/Functions/Facilities that need, addressing/fixing; and/or implementing.

    .

    Just my thoughts.
