Please add spouse name to Summary Card

EvaLynn Holt said: It would be super helpful if the summary card could include the spouse's name like the card that pops up when adding a person and the computer identifies that the person may already be in the system. Thank you for consideration.

Tom Huber said: I'm not sure what the underlying code is for the summary card, but that is about the only place (when adding a person) where this would be a really great feature. I wonder if FS can isolate the feature to just when adding a person to the massive tree?0

Gordon Collett said: I can see how this could be quite useful to be able to quickly see if someone had a spouse or not and on the new summary card there is certainly room for it:
However, I can also see that this could get complicated from a programing standpoint quite quickly. Which spouse should be shown? The first one? The preferred one? All there is room for? All the ones not marked as divorced? The one that will not trigger bad memories and be offensive for users coming to the tree that have not set a preferred spouse?
Then there are people who don't have a spouse. Do they suppress the line completely in that situation or suppress it only if the person is marked as never having been married?
I do agree this could be a good idea, but implementation could be a challenge.0 -
Justin Masters said: I agree this is a great idea! I even mocked something up, as you did, but don't see the space constraint, if the box is dynamically built.
My submission showing that mockup is located here:

(and by the way I've used Jeff's suggestion (in that thread) a number of times when attaching an obituary or other source with lots of relatives to many related people - using recordseek as there's no easy equivalent in familysearch to attach quickly to lots of people. I mocked up a suggested layout for that as well - friendly to portable form factors as well.)
An older discussion is here (Some with Joe Martel's input asking for clarification, with some surprising (to me, anyway) reasons NOT to.)

That mockup I mention above is seen below, but not part of the current discussion.
(I had neglected to add the PID's in there with that mockup, but it was for quickly attaching a source to multiple family members.))0 -
Erika Campbell said: Yes, please add the spouse to the person card, like it used to be years ago. His helps with identifying a person. This is a great idea and hope that the spouse will be added again.

EvaLynn Holt said: I disagree- I want to be able to click the child's name (in the family members list or the children list in the tree) and have the summary card come up with all relationships known for that person. Many times I have wished that I didn't have to actually go to the child's person page to learn if he has a spouse. Just one little click in these lists and I could know -quick- and on to the next child in the list. This would be so beneficial to me.0

In a person 'pop-up' could be useful to have info about the marriage/union so to easy find people having already informations about couple, among other still needing search.
Something between 'Birth' and 'Death' part or, as there's room, on the right of 'Birth'.
Even just a symbol (U / ∞ / whatever you used to use) will be an improvement.
