Christine Tietjen said: I would like to see the reports go back to how they were. My indexers like to know that I know how many records each one is doing, also if I know how many batches they are returning I can offer them help to learn how to index those batches. I also can use that information to plan activities to encourage others to join in the indexing projects.

As I responded in a recent previous post:

    FYI

Take a look at this Message that recently appeared in the Community.FamilySearch Forum in the Group known as Indexing Chat:

    https://community.familysearch.org/s/...

It certainly is extremely helpful to know who has a lot of Indexing experience when trying to find trainers to help others with Indexing.

Unfortunately, the Statistics of individual Members of Wards/Stakes from Family Tree of FamilySearch were used by some local Church Leaders to Name and Shame. That is why such Statistics were REMOVED from the Family History Activity Report a short while back.

That Naming and Shaming of individual Members of Wards/Stakes by some (probably the same) local Church Leaders most likely extended to Indexing. That is why such Statistics have been REMOVED from the Indexing Reports.

I have not used it; but, have you tried the My Contributions (Our own Statistics) facility of the Mobile Application of Family Tree of FamilySearch?

How do I see my contributions to Family Tree?

Tom Huber said: In addition to Liz' comments, the trend in the Church is away from reporting activity. A year or so ago, this extended to home and visiting teaching and has applied to temple attendance for several years now. I remember speaking to a local priesthood leader who told me they were no longer to request temple activity reports.

In short, the reasoning behind this trend is that activity is a matter between the person and the Lord. Even in temple recommend interviews the interviewer is to no longer ask about temple activity.

Erika Campbell said: Please read the reasoning from FamilySearch. I keep track of my own indexing and everyone can do the same. If Ward members want to share that is their prerogative, but I think FamilySearch is right in not showing everyone else's accomplishments in indexing. We need to be concerned just about our own achievements.
