Jeanette Froelich said: So many great things coming from FamilySearch! While doing a surname search between two parents (mother is Gold and father is Roberts), would it be possible to be able to specify the gender of each parent to make the search more focused?

Available search fields include "Father" and "Mother".

Available search fields include "Father" and "Mother", again.

Under "Parents", the fields are "Father's first names", "Father's last names", "Mother's first names", and "Mother's last names".

I can't think of anyplace else on FS where the concepts of "search" and "parents" apply.

Tom Huber said: I think Jeanette is asking for a gender option as a modifier to the search.

Find (in the massive tree) has that option now.
Search (historical records) does not have that option, but once the search results are displayed, it is an optional filter (way at the bottom of the list in the left column).
