Terrie Louise Fitch said: Is there anyway the new Latest Changes views you can distinguish merges better It was so easy to direct patron to big green square but the little red dot will not be as easy to see? Maybe put a skinny green line around them?

Jordi Kloosterboer said: Mine still has the green borders. However, in the beta site, it shows no distinction besides saying "Merge."0

Tom Huber said: The green bordered "merge" shows up for the principles who were merged. They don't (and in the past, haven't always been there) if a child of a principle is involved. This is one of those "it depends" situations, upon whose change log you are looking at.0

Gordon Collett said: Terrie is reporting on the new Change Log seen only in the Beta site. It is using the new style seen in the new merge screen. The whole appearance of the page will take a bit of getting used to and it this point, just that change is making it hard to see if this update will improve the usefulness of the change log.
Some other changes:
1) Many more items with more detail have been added, such as for Memories added:
2) A massive set of filters that appear to cover every item of a person's information, even Memories, is now available to look at changes to any specific item:
To get back to original topic, this is what the entry for merges shows now with the line closed:
Opening the line shows what information was added via the merge (and might have to be removed after a restore):
It is harder to find the merges now, certainly, because you can't just scroll through looking for the green outline but actually have to look for the word "Merge." Also, merges are one thing that are not in the list of filters. It would be very handy to have it there.
On a different topic, it looks like they are playing around with the male and female icons again. I do like this set much better than the last iteration which had male and nurse.
Also, Terrie, I don't see any little red dot. Where are you seeing that? Do you mean the male/female icon? That is the one item that makes it easier to see the merges. They are the only item that lists two person's names side by side, given you two icons horizontally. That is pretty easy to see while scrolling through once one thinks to watch for it.0 -
Tom Huber said: Okay, that makes sense (that she is reporting what she sees on the beta site). It would have been nice had she mentioned the beta site, since I (and others must have) thought she was referring to production. No harm done (no foul).0

Adrian Bruce said: Hmmm - two aspects re Merges. Firstly, without having checked it through myself in Beta, the screenshots do suggest it's more difficult to find merges. I'll need to find some time later to double check this.
Secondly, and perhaps slightly tongue in cheek.... Why is the surviving person on the left? Or then again, I'm not sure it's that tongue in the cheek at all...0 -
Gordon Collett said: So you are saying that maybe the mobile app developers and the website developers should go back and make that arm wresting match that decided who should change which side the surviving person in the merge should be on be two out of three?0
