This collection seems to have duplicates for each record

I am sure you will be aware that problems like this have been reported on numerous occasions over the years. The usual response is that once you have established the URL is different, just add the source regardless. Regardless, for example, of whether the index contains identical information and has possibly been based on the same material, which has been filmed twice.
I remain very unhappy that the same material can be indexed over and over again (I have four sources attached to some IDs, their content indistinguishable) whilst there is so much material crying out to be indexed.
I'm afraid there seems to be a lack of serious record keeping in the "Indexing section", which allows this sort of duplication to cause so much "clutter" in my Sources sections. I'm quite happy if the "same" record has actually been extracted from a different original source, but not when "FamilySearch" has not bothered to check whether a piece has already been indexed and allows another project to be undertaken. What a waste of resources!0
