    Paul said: I believe this problem is being investigated, as it has already been reported. It appears only to relate to certain sets of records, but several of us are experiencing this.

    As you suggest, not all users will bother to change the format of the last name before creating the new ID, leading to the capitalisation in Family Tree that is supposed to be avoided.
