Can we please have a "not..." filter?
Not that the filters really do one iota of good, since they revert right back to blank if you actually ::gasp:: go and read something, but it's highly annoying to keep tripping over the same threads that I don't have any interest in touching. So can we please get a "not Temple" filter?
And while we're at it, PLEASE put some thought into process here. I still cannot fathom how on Earth the designers intend people to navigate this mess, with the topics unable to be opened in another tab, no read/unread indications whatsoever, a totally useless default sort, and no means of showing older threads that have new comments/replies.
C'mon. Message boards have been around for more than 30 years. Thirty years. Three flipping DECADES. There is absolutely no excuse for re-inventing the wheel yet again, especially when the result is a perfectly square wheel, as here.

Indeed. I understand that there was a rush job on to get the data out of GetSat before the deadline, and for that you deserve our thanks.
But someone decided that the headings should be sorted by popularity, not last updated date-time. I can't understand why and it makes it pretty much impossible for me to look through and see new stuff. Just freeze that time order please because I'll bet no-one wants to see this stuff in popularity order.
Until I can see a time ordered view, it really is painful to use this site.

Julia makes a reasonable request to be able to filter out any posts that relate to temple. There are probably a number of participants in this forum (or those who are on their way here from Getsatisfaction) who have no interest in the discussions and ideas about temples, temple ordinances, etc. (as they relate to FamilySearch). I think she is probably looking at having this be a permanent or ongoing filter out/function for her and others. This same type of request was raised previously in Getsatisfaction. Perhaps this venue has the functionality to do this. Also, as to Adrian's request about sorting, can the default sort be changed from 'Popularity' to 'Recent'? My preference would be to sort by chronological order with the most recent post 1st (ie 'Recent') when 1st opening up this IDEAS forum/webpage. As it is now each time I read a post and go back to the main/home page I have to reselect the 'Sort by' found at the top left of the main page from 'Popularity' to 'Recent'. The 'Popularity' view I would not use very often. The "Recent' view I will use every time I come to this forum/webpage. Thank you for your consideration.
