Duplicate Temple Ordinance Requests.
I was requesting temple ordinances and saw a green light so went ahead to request that on my tree only to find that someone else had previously requested the ordinances and had shared it with the Temple. I was just wanting to find an ordinance to be done that no one else had. But now it is now popping up with duplicate request entries. As I share with the temple, I don't see the point in wasting time having to now go through individual records to find unrequested ordinances.

'Jessie', is correct; and, has provided you with a 'link' to an Article about this matter in the 'FamilySearch' "Blog".
.
The exact spot in that Article can be accessed with this extended 'link':
Update: August 20, 2020—New Symbol for Temple Icons with 90-Day Expiration
https://www.familysearch.org/blog/en/updates-to-temple-ordinance-reservations/#90-day-symbol
.
As an aside ...
.
You are not alone with your concerns ...
.
The subject that you have raised has been discussed very extensively in both,
(1) the OLDER 'FamilySearch' ("GetSatisfaction") 'Feedback' Forum; and,
(2) various Articles in the 'FamilySearch' "Blog".
.
The RESULT of those very extensive discussions is what we NOW have; as, indicated in the ("Blog") Article of "Update: August 20, 2020—New Symbol for Temple Icons with 90-Day Expiration", being the little "Clock"/"Watch" Icon inside the "Green" Temple Icons, that are "Available" to "Request"; BUT, have ALSO been "Share[d] with the Temple System".
.
I hope this helps, just a little; and, gives you some perspective.
