Messaging Needs Revision

The Messaging software needs to be changed to allow us to use a carriage return to add a blank line instead of sending the message. That would make it just like this software.
Not sure when this was changed but it is a failure.

Tim Cross said: We made this adjustment to FamilySearch Messaging to behave a little more like messaging services. Messaging services promote shorter interactive communications between patrons. Sending the message is easier by simply pressing [Enter]. [Shift][Enter] creates a new line.0

'Thank You'.
But ...
This is NO what us Users/Patrons WANT.
The "Change" was made WITHOUT any, forewarning; or, advice.
Some, maybe many, Users/Patrons DO NOT prepare their 'Messages' in a "Text Editor"; and, then 'copy' and 'paste' that into "User Messaging" in "FamilySearch" before 'Sending'
The "Enter" Key SHOULD just be (ie. operate as) a 'New' Line/Paragraph; NOT, a "Send" 'Button'.
Many Users/Patrons will not be aware of the Two (x2) 'Key' process of "Shift'/'Enter' for a 'New' Line/Paragraph.
NOW there are x3 posts referencing the same problem/issue in this matter.
Please REVERT it back to the way is was.
'Thank You' in advance.

Ray Batig said: Once again, software being changed for no good reason and without telling the users that it is changed. We are not using instant message for the messaging system so why was that technology adopted.
Another failure of the software designers.0 -
m said: Tim, please let the engineers know that this change is counterproductive to how people write.
It will likely result in patrons being too afraid to try to message.
People of course are unaware about shift enter.0 -
Tim Cross said: Please try FamilySearch Messaging again. We were able to update this.0
