Jeff Wiseman said: Yeah, One other thing I haven't really explored is the Christening Vital. This has been discussed here before. Ancestral Quest refers to a "Christening" as a sub type of a "Birth Rite" that is selectable since not all cultures have Christenings. I wonder how a Bar mitzvah that is recorded in AQ would translate into a GEDCOM file. Would it be put into the Christening field with text exceptions? I don't know. I don't know the GEDCOM standard very well.

I've contacted Gaylon Findlay (author of PAF and Ancestral Quest) and provided him with a copy of the GEDCOM as well as a backup of my local AQ database. He responded that he will look into this as soon as he has the opportunity -- he is currently involved with other issues.0
