Firstly, "Welcome" to this "FamilySearch" ( "GetStaisfaction" ) 'Feedback' Forum.
Secondly, "Official 'FamilySearch' Representatives", do monitor; and, sometimes, participate in, this Forum.
Thirdly, I am just another User/Patron, just like yourself (and, happen to be a Member of the Church).
Many Users/Patrons who regularly participate in this Forum who have a great deal of knowledge and experience with "FamilySearch", like to assist/help other Users/Patrons like yourself.
Finally, access to this "FamilySearch" ( "GetStaisfaction" ) 'Feedback' Forum IS ALREADY available on the "Landing"/"Home" page/screen at the 'Bottom' Line Menu, in fact, it is the SAME for just about EVERY page/screen.
And, when to talk about:
In the messages I see only the user-2-user messages.
Where is the rest of connectivity?
What are yo referring to.

Tom Huber said: Messages, as they appear as a feature on the main page, is the internal message system used by FamilySearch and as you noted, includes the user-to-user messages. It is also one way that FamilySearch has gotten around the opt-out that many of us have used to reduce the number of "noise" that are associated with "discoveries" and other "campaigns."
The FamilySearch Community is another messaging system and it is accessed via the Help Menu and selecting Community. The system, just a few months ago, received some much-needed improvements in terms of performance, but still isn't as good as it could be.
GetSatisfaction is not part of FamilySearch, and is a system used by a number of different organizations, including FamilySearch. As Brett noted above, it is accessed via the Feedback link at the bottom of most FamilySearch pages. That is the same link that a person can use to report a specific problem that needs to get support involved.
By selecting "Suggestion or Compliment" via Feedback, the person will be taken to this Forum where us users try to help each other. Every message thread is read (so we have been told) by one or more FamilySearch representatives (employees) who may or may not respond in the thread, depending upon their available time.0 -

As indicated by 'Tom' ...
Select that 'Feedback' link on the 'Bottom' Line Menu.
That brings up a "Pop-Up" (ie. "Modal") 'Window' for "Feedback".
The "Suggestion or Compliment" is ALREADY 'Checked'.
Simply select the "Share your idea" link/button .
That will activate the "Fastpass" access to the "FamilySearch" ( "GetStaisfaction" ) 'Feedback' Forum
Or, if you prefer, you can create a "Bookmark" for that 'Fastpass' access to thes Forum.https://www.familysearch.org/help/getsatisfaction/fastpass

'Yes' ...
That "Top Line" Menu is already getting very 'crowded' now; especially, with that NEW "Activities" 'link' (which is simply promoting "Participation").
Perhaps, that new "Activities" 'link' could be DEMOTED to the "Bottom Line" Menu (ie. 'Bottom' of the page/screen); and, the "Feedback" 'link' promoted to the "Top Line" Menu, in its place.
Just a thought.
We can live in hope.
