Search Records (eg. "FamilySearch")
"Floating" Header
INTERMITTENT problem/issue
"Gap"
I am certain that this has been raised previously ...
There is an INTERMITTENT problem/issue with that "Floating" Header when "Searching Records" (eg. "FamilySearch") which can be rather annoying; especially, when/as that "Floating" Header is not up against the Top "Person" Details Menu, where you see a "Gap"; and, the details 'flashing' by in that "Gap".
There needs to be some work some work/adjustment the "Floating" Header when "Searching Records" (eg. "FamilySearch") with regard to the INTERMITTENT problem/issue to that "Gap".
Please see if you can get rid of that "Gap".
'Thank You' in advance.
Brett
ps: Using latest version of 'Google' "Chrome" with "Windows 10".

Being intermittent, I do not know you you where able to find the problem/issue, let alone fix/address it.
Again, 'Thank You'.

joe martel said: Brett, the original post is about Search Records. Your most recent post seems to be a screen shot of Person Details. I'm not sure what floating header problem is as I don't see any problems here.
If you can circle or specify "Tree Person " what is wrong that might help locate any issues. Also, does a refresh fix it?0 -

This happens with many person/individuals intermittently, not just certain ones; but, it is happening more frequently of late.
'Yes', it quite often fixes itself after a "Refresh"; but, sometimes it needs a couple of "Refreshes".
The whole point/matter is these "Floating" Headers are causing a 'multitude' of problems/issues as evidenced in my post of:
FamilySearch. Anomalies + Discrepancies. [Re:] Tabs + Floating Header + Menus. [Attempt] Save as Complete Web page + Screen Shots + Printing

Jacob Reid said: Hey Brett,
The floating header issue should be fixed on the historical record search results page. I will get with the people who work on the person details page and see if we can get it address there.
Thanks,

'Good Morning' from "Down Under".
'Thank You'.
Brett
ps: Could you please get one one to look at and consider this post of mine with regards the OTHER problems/issues that also involve the "Floating" Headers:

FYI
'Nah', the "Floating" Header (and, the "Gap") problem/issue still exists.
The "Floating" Header (and, the "Gap") problem/issue may have been addressed/fixed on the "Person/Details" page/screen; but, certainly NOT in other places.

FYI
'Nah', the (intermittent) "Floating" Header (and, the "Gap") problem/issue still exists ...
The "Floating" Header (and, the "Gap") problem/issue has NOT been addressed/fixed on the "Person/Details" page/screen ...
This was one of a few minutes ago.
Again, this is still been happening intermittently (and, across a number of pages/screens - not just the "Person/Details" page/screen); but, certainly NOT as frequently as before ...
And, DEFINITELY still the same problem/issue as in:
FamilySearch. Anomalies + Discrepancies. [Re:] Tabs + Floating Header + Menus. [Attempt] Save as Complete Web page + Screen Shots + Printing
https://getsatisfaction.com/familysea...
NOTHING has changed.

I am not able to reproduce this issue, can you give specific instructions and steps with urls and screenshots of how to get into this state? This will greatly improve the ability for us to find the issue and fix it.
Thanks,

'G'Day', mate ...
The problem/issue is 'intermittent', it does not happen every time; so, I understand why it cannot be reproduced.
The problem/issue is definitely caused by/in relation to the "Floating Headers" ...
Personally, if "FamilySearch" cannot address/fix the problem/issue, I would prefer that "FamilySearch" DISPENSE with the "Floating Headers" altogether.
The myriad of OTHER problems/issues caused caused by/in relation to the "Floating Headers" is outlined in the associated post of:
FamilySearch. Anomalies + Discrepancies. [Re:] Tabs + Floating Header + Menus. [Attempt] Save as Complete Web page + Screen Shots + Printing
https://getsatisfaction.com/familysea...
which has NOT been addressed/fixed.
Simple, just 'GET RID' of those "Floating Headers" altogether, if "FamilySearch" cannot address/fix the problem/issue; then, no problems/issues.
I am sorry for being so 'blunt'; but, those "Floating Headers" cause a myriad of problems/issues.

That is just fine for you; but, the problem/issue is not addressed/fixed.
We are NOT talking about a "NEW Menu", we are talking about the "Floating Headers".

I couldn't make the problem happen today. If you can now then by providing a screen shot and posting it here you can help. Otherwise the engineers have nothing to go on. They have this case closed unless the users can show an example of it there today.0 -

Such is life ...
Do what you will ...
Very hard to 'wave the magic wand' and get a example right at this very moment ...
I can keep posting them here in this post, as they 'intermittently' occur ...
But, the matter of:
FamilySearch. Anomalies + Discrepancies. [Re:] Tabs + Floating Header + Menus. [Attempt] Save as Complete Web page + Screen Shots + Printing
https://getsatisfaction.com/familysea...
certainly has NOT been addressed/fixed.
Interesting ...
The problems/issues caused by/in relation to the "Floating Headers" occurred BEFORE the introduction of the NEW 'Top Line' Menu, even if they are now intertwined.
