Welcome to the FamilySearch feedback forum. Everything posted here is read by FS employees who may or may not reply to them. I am not a FS Employee but like many others on the forum have a little experience in some of these things that we like to share,
From an "internal" software standpoint, your suggestion would likely be difficult, and FS may not consider it worth their effort for the benefits it would provide. The "Unfinished Attachments" feature is on a per source basis and not on a per-person basis the way the pedigree and fan charts are formed. All of the other data-error, hints, and research tips that can be flagged in those pedigree type charts are all parts of the person record. The unfinished attachments is part of another thing completely (i.e., the source).
Anyway, although this could be useful to some degree, I suspect that it might not occur. Hopefully someone from FS could respond to this issue.0 -
Gordon Collett said: One thing to keep in mind, is that many sources that point to multiple people generally include a set of parents and a child. These would primarily be birth, marriage, and census records. That means that most of the time, there are three direct ancestors in the fan chart where the hint would usually show up if not attached to all three. This is probably sufficient most of the time to pick up unfinished attachments.0

Bryce Roper said: Your question about showing unfinished attachments on the fan chart is an interesting idea that I am going to explore. The next enhancement we are making with unfinished attachments is to show them in the logged in home page as part of the recommended task list, much like record hints appear today.0
