I followed the link to the Terms of Use. The phrase "FamilySearch" or "Family Search" does not occur on that page.
So who exactly is a "FamilySearch member", besides apparently not me?

A van Helsdingen said: When I search for records in this collection (as a non-LDS users) using the Search engine, I get the message "You may be able to view this image by visiting one of our partners' sites or the legal record custodian (fees may apply)". When I browse images, I get both this message and the message seen by the original poster.
As has been discussed before, "You may be able to view this image by visiting one of our partners' sites or the legal record custodian (fees may apply)." is an euphemism indicating the records are available only to Latter Day Saints.0

Juli said: I did the "DIY" method to generate the URL based on the film number: start with the main Search address (https://www.familysearch.org/search/) and add /film/NNN, where NNN is the film number, padded with leading zeros if needed to make nine digits.0

Juli said: Yeah, I remember that one, vaguely. But I was approaching it from a practical/concrete viewpoint then: you (an LDS member) said the image was visible, whilte I (not an LDS member) couldn't see it, so I pointed this out.0

Juli said: So it's definite: where it says "FamilySearch", what it should actually say is "LDS". But of course FS doesn't like to admit to that so clearly, nowadays.0
