Jerry Rogers said: I created a Family Book "The Rogers & The Baughs" years ago and gave a copy to the Family History Library. When I search on the site it states the book cannot be viewed online due to copyright restrictions. I glady grant permission and I think when books are digitized, there should be a automated request sent to the author to share the book digitally. It's such a great tool and to not be viewable on site is a tragedy. Thank you for your consideration.

Were there any living people and their dates showing in your book?

My Great Uncle made a 300 plus page genealogy sheet booklet and I sent a copy to the Family History Library. The Library sent my flash drive back stating it was because of the living people and their dates showing in the booklet.

Thanks for sharing that information! I submitted the book around 1985 and there are still people living. I didn't get a flash drive of the digitization. How do I inquire about that? I don't see a "Contact Us" option online.

Can't have anything now days showing dates, or information about living people.

Here is a link to the FamilySearch - "Contact Us." The FamilySearch "Contact Us" is found by hitting on the circle with a question mark in the circle, which is found towards the top of the page, towards the right hand side.

Note on the opening page a place to see about the Family History Library.

I like to use the "Send Message" which is found on the "Contact Us" page.

Please contact FamilySearch to make a request. Please provide the title and author so that we can correctly identify the book.
