JimGreene said: No change. Do not Capitalize surnames, that was an old and now defunct standard. Some legacy records, and legacy record-keepers still let it creep in. As Jordi mentions, it is helpful to change them to non-caps when they appear.

Ryan Torchia said: I think it is a bug. I'm seeing this a lot in the past three days or so and never saw it previously. The name will even appear properly capitalized (i.e. first letter only) in the record, then show up as all caps in the field, as shown in the screen cap above.0

Amy Archibald said: Jim, this is a bug via SourceLinker. I've noticed it the past week. Every time I create a new person via SourceLinker, it is created the surname in all caps. Will you pass it along to the engineering team. Thanks!0

Brian Jensen said: Thanks for the reports of this problem. I've created a ticket for the Source Linker team to investigate. If you have other examples of this problem please post those.0

Christopher Padgett said: I posted on this a few weeks ago. I've started seeing it in almost every record that comes to me for Kentucky (births, marriages, deaths) and even Find-A-Grave hints. It started a few weeks ago and I just stopped working hints as it shows up on every hint I process. I have to go in manually and change the spelling of the surname back to lower case, so I just figured I'd stop working hints until they fix it or there is an update. It's the strangest thing.0
