My misuse of the Reason This Information Is Correct box

Paul said: Yes, just realised the difference. There is no Delete function in the Death (vitals) box. To amend/replace details, everything has to be removed field by field. Obviously, this must relate to having the "Deceased" default entry. Regardless, it works in a different way (source linking function included) to the other vitals. One can only "Edit" a death (as it is never completely "blank"), but "Add" data to all the other vitals categories.0

Paul said: Just to add ("finally"), in spite of my preferred choice in changing incorrect data in the different parts of the Vitals section, that option is just not available when it comes to Death, of course. In spite of whether it might cause confusion when reading the change log, you just cannot click on "Delete", give a reason statement for removing the old data, then add the new detail from scratch.
I believe Joe Martel did once explain the logic for "Death" being different, but it certainly means inconsistency in how we can alter our Vitals data. (Including reason statements, which is what this thread is supposed to be all about!)0 -
Juli said: The "Death" vital must be non-empty, because its value determines whether the profile is visible or not.0

Paul said: THAT was probably the point made in the past. Thanks, Juli. Still doesn't change how awkward (well, "different") it is to remove any incorrect detail that has been inputted, compared to the other "Vitals"! But, yes, I can see the point that you can never "delete" everything in the box.0
