Cynthia Sue Watson said: Many times, family names found on a record, appear down below in the attachable area when reviewing ad attaching records. Is there any way new areas could become available within the attachment area to drag and drop names or type the new names in? For instance, on a marriage record, bringing in the spouses parents names. Or, on a census record, adding names found on the record but no place on the attach them.
Thanks,
Cynthia Watson

Cindy Hecker said: There is a way to drag and drop the names on a record like census or marriage record in the source attacher area. I do it all the time. You click the record and a kind of double bent arrow appears and you drag and drop in child or siblings area where ever appropriate.

You can also change the person you are viewing from parent to child perspective. (there is a drop down arrow in the blue highlighted section) I do that when in a marriage record from the parent, i go to the child to add the spouse to the child. Then again I go to the new spouse and add his or her parents. All that already exists in the app and on the desktop.

Perhaps someone can show images but this exists already.

Robert Wren said: I've recently noticed that this is needed more and more for many "unfinished attachments"

Coincidentally, I just FS messaged someone with this explanation:

"You may not be aware of the "Change" link in the Source Linker for attaching sources in FamilySearch.

It's a link directly above the "primary" name (e.g. the husband) allowing a change to be made to show the wife, which will allow you to attach to her - and 'likely' her parents.

For a more complete explanation, if needed, see: https://www.thefhguide.com/project-1-... - Exercise D 6.

This helps particularly with the unfinished attachments."
