Notification on Home Page of duplicated records

I frequently go back along all my lines looking for duplicates as well as record hints.
Recently I discovered, quite by accident, that some one had duplicated one of my family lines back several generations, and then downline. I had completed the Temple work for that line but the duplicated records all had ordinances available. Just imagine the hours wasted completing the ordinance work for all the duplicated records.

Personally, I find it very distracting, so do not use it.

I don't know of a good alternative, since possible duplicates are not displayed as an icon (of any kind) on descendancy charts.

Taking the time to go back through your ancestral lines can be very intensive and takes time away from researching individuals who are lacking sources.

This is one area where a lot could be done by the developers to give us a quick overview of things like possible duplicates and other areas to check. In this regard, FamilySearch still has a long way to go before it is truly as powerful as it should be.
