Question:

I have always been wondering, WHY are My ('Support') Cases located on the Drop Down Menu under Help; and, NOT, the Drop Down Menu under the User's/Patron's Display Name?

Yes, of course, our 'Support' Cases are a form of Help; but, once we (the User/Patron) raises a 'Support' Case (of any description); then, should not they fall under the SPECIFIC User/Patron, rather than under the GENERIC Help?

I mean, I am well experienced; and, well aware of where My ('Support') Cases are located; but, some new or less experienced Users/Patrons seem surprised and expected to find them under their Display Name - which I might add makes more sense to me.

Just curious.

Brett

ps: Of course, this is a minor matter with regard to the very many competing priorities in Family Tree (and, the Other parts) of FamilySearch; and, the very limited resources available to FamilySearch.

Tom Huber said: Good question, Brett. It makes no sense, since "My" cases are for those that I have opened and not all cases that have been opened by everyone.

In fact, when someone in this forum makes reference to a case they've opened, we have no way to view that case, even if they provide the case number.
