Fault/Flaw
You have, I am sad to say, inadvertently "Ruined", the "Watch" List of "People I'm Watching".
With the NEW (Late November 2019) up-date/release of the "Watch" Lists, we can NO LONGER "Filter" for with the word "Living" for "Living" individuals/persons, in our "Private Spaces", in the "Watch" List of "People I'm Watching"; provided, of course, we had selected "Watch" BEFORE we made them "Living" - which actually enabled them to be on our "Watch" List of "People I'm Watching".
Please RE-ENABLE / REINSTATE the ABILITY to "Filter" with the word "Living" for "Living" individuals/persons, in our "Private Spaces" (provided, of course, we had selected "Watch" BEFORE we made them "Living"), in the "Watch" List of "People I'm Watching" ASAP.
'Thank You' in advance.
----------
As an aside ...
Plus, even when I "Filter" with the "Last Name" of a "Living" individual/person (that I know in on my "Watch" List of "People I'm Watching") the individual/person is NOT found.
Whereas, if I "Filter" with the "First Name" of a "Living" individual/person (that I know in on my "Watch" List of "People I'm Watching") the individual/person IS found.
----------
Now, if I "Filter" with the "[P]ID number" of a "Living" individual/person (that I know in on my "Watch" List of "People I'm Watching") the individual/person IS also found.
----------
Submitted for your information; attention; and, consideration.

I am certainly no expert; but, ...
I am NOT certain; but, maybe the reason that we can NO LONGER "Filter" for with the word "Living" for "Living" individuals/persons, in our "Private Spaces", in the "Watch" List of "People I'm Watching"; provided, of course, we had selected "Watch" BEFORE we made them "Living" - which actually enabled them to be on our "Watch" List of "People I'm Watching", is BECAUSE the "Death" record field in the "Watch" List of "People I'm Watching" for such individuals is "Blank" (ie. an "Empty" field).
Whereas, before, if I recall (but, of course, I could be wrong), that "Death" record field for "Living" individuals/persons, in our "Private Spaces", in the "Watch" List of "People I'm Watching", previously appeared with the word of "Living" (as the "Death" record appears in that field on the "Person/Details" page/screen).
Just my thoughts.
I hope this helps.

As you know we did have an update to the watch list page. The page was on an old code base which we updated and we made the page more responsive for smaller screen sizes. In the process we removed what we call the life span. The life span was located right under the name of the person you were watching and showed the birth and death years.
The use case you explained above was actually a bug you discovered that allowed you to have living people show up in your watch list. You were able to filter on the word "living" because in the life span if a person is living it shows as i.e., 1945-"Living" for example. Now that the life span is gone the word "Living" no longer appears for you to filter on.
We are going to restore the life span so that this will work for you again. It will take a couple of weeks before we get to this so be patient.
We are currently working on a major update to the lists feature that will include a Private Person's tab ( not sure on the final name for the tab) so you won't need to mark a person dead, watch them, and then mark them living. They will automatically appear on your private persons tab. No release date yet but we are actively working on this.0 -
Gordon Collett said: Great news! I'm sure everyone will be looking forward to the Private Person's tab.
One other feature that disappeared with the update is the ability to filter on the word "deleted." That was a great way to find people on one's watch list that had been merged and be able to check to see if the merge was appropriate if one had missed other notifications of such. The big black box containing "Person Deleted" is pretty easy to see while scrolling through the list so this is not a big loss, but it was convenient.0 -

'Thank You' so much for taking the time to repond to this post of mine; especially,, with me being so uncivil.
I appologise from my belated response.
Not just the 'Time' difference between the USA and "Down Under"; but, we have two of our older Children who are not well, my Wife and I are current transversing backwards and forwards between x2 States, by Car (cheaper than by Air).
'Yes', that "Bug" was one of the few that was very much appreciated.
'Thank You' for progressing to reinstate that particular extremely helpful "Bug", at least, until the new 'Tab' for "Living" individuals/persons in our "Private Spaces" is implemented.
You know, I forgot all about the ability to "Filter" with the Word, "Deleted", to show the "Deleted" individuals/persons in our "Watch" List, that 'Gordon' mentioned. Hopefully, the reinstatement of the "Life Span" may also address/fix that problem/issue.
As you may or may not known, I have been one of those who have been advising others how they can keep tabs on "Living" individuals/persons in their "Private Spaces" through the "Watch" List. So, to me, that release/update resulted in an apparent fault/flaw ("Bug") - rather than the addressing/fixing of a (Beneficial) "Bug".
By the way, you may have made the 'System' more responsive to smaller screen sizes; but, too me, using a Laptop; and, the "Browser" set between 125% to 150%, for convenience (less strain on the eyes), I am lucky to see just x1 individual/person in that 'tiny' "Box". I have to reduce to 100% to get about x4 or so in the list; but, I am back to straining my eyes.
Plus, don't forget, as mentioned above in the post, even when I "Filter" with the "Last Name" of a "Living" individual/person (that I know in on my "Watch" List of "People I'm Watching") the individual/person is NOT found - now that is a "Bug".
I can hardly wait for that new 'Tab' for "Living" individuals/persons in our "Private Spaces" - that will be good.
A 'Tab' for "Deleted" individuals/persons would not go a stray! At least, for the inexperienced, there would be a quick and easy place to find those in their Ancestral lines that were "Deleted", for whatever reason.
Additional; and, even the ability to create "Watch" Lists that were "User-Defined", will/would be appreciated.
Again, 'Thank You'.

FYI
I am out and about, at the moment; but, I just tried on my Mobile Phone, with the 'Web" version of "Family Tree", with 'Google' "Chrome" - NO, not yet.

Unless, I need to "Clear" my "Cache" and "History"!?

FYI
There has been work (definite, progress) on the problem/issue of the limited number of individuals/persons displayed in the "Boxes" of the "Watch" Lists.
I now see Six (x6) individuals/persons on the "Browser" setting of 100%; and, Three-and a half (x3 1⁄2) individuals/persons on the "Browser" setting of 125%; plus, 'Scrolling' (Down) the Lists now is so much better and more "seamless".

ITS BACK ...
Just checked, by accident.
As promised ...
We can NOW (once again) "Filter", with the Word "Living", in the "Watch" List, of "People I'm Watching", to see a List of all those who are "Living" in our "Private Spaces", for those whom we are "Watching".
Enjoy.

ps: Unfortunately, the Word of "Deleted" still DOES NOT work (again, like it used to), in the "Filter", in the "Watch" List, of "People I'm Watching", to see a List of all those who we were "Watching", that have been "Deleted" (ie. PERSON DELETED), hopefully that is a 'work in progress'.
