I am helping an 85 Y.O. brother and since lockdown we have come to an abrupt halt.
It could be something like the THFC being able to view (not change) what the member is doing in real time but not as powerful as team viewer.
We normally have to wait until Sunday when we use the Chapel PC,but U cannot see this being possible for months.
Presumably FS can send messages between users in real time.
Thanks

FamilySearch has limited capabilities with respect to remotely accessing another person's computer. I am not aware of the reasons, but think that the helper function is about as far as we helpers are going to get.
That is the reason why I'm suggesting remote software. One of the parts will have to be installed on the user's computer and the other on yours.
A quick search using "remote computer access" reveals that Windows 10 has that as part of its operating system. Otherwise, there are a lot of packages available. I don't know what the costs are and I don't know how well they work across different platforms (that is, windows to mac or vice versa).0 -
