Please make the index for New York land deeds more useful

1. Some of the indexes don't include the county name and only list "New York." New York is so large in size that if you don't have a county name, the index is basically useless.
2. You can only see the details on the Grantor, there is no way to see detailed information from your search about a Grantee.. For results on grantees I just get a name and Other without a date or location unless I click on every item in the list.
Since it's needed to be able to search on both grantor and grantee, I can only get useful results for 50% of the names in the index.
If you could fix these 2 things the indexes would be far more useful.
Thanks for letting me give feedback. Having these records indexed will be a big help to my research!

Many government agencies in that state are very reluctant to make genealogical records public, so the group Reclaim the Records has sued a number of them, and has won every lawsuit.
The owners of the records want to charge people to view the records. Having a detailed and free index will reduce the number of people who'll go on to purchase a copy of the originals.
If you live in the United States, make sure to participate in the primary and general elections for your County Clerk, who has a lot of power over access to genealogical records from the county.0 -

These records are easy to obtain. I am requesting that FamilySearch make the search more useful for an index they already have.0
