When I started getting into family history 6 years ago, I learned on the old system. It was easy to use, took me a few minutes to memorize the key symbols, and I have been delighted, productive, and efficient in using it ever since. When I logged in after the change took place, I was horrified. Call me stubborn, but this new interface is more confusing and unhelpful than any old system ever was. Everything is more complicated than simple. In my opinion, as well as countless others I speak for, this new interface needs to be abandoned entirely. I sincerely hope they change it back. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”
As a young person, I am ‘tech savvy’ and can do computer things with no confusion and much accuracy. This change just makes it more difficult for everything- especially because I have thousands of names reserved. How am I supposed to do work now? It has come to an utter halt ever since the new system was introduced.
I have spoken to about 40 friends about what they thought about this change. ONLY ONE liked the change. It is so frustrating. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE change it back. It will only make it better and more simple if you remove it and revert to the old system.

The change was necessitated because names that have been shared with the temple are now available for anyone to "grab and go" to the temple. As such, the previous red temple icon is now green.
The list has been split into two sections:
My Reservations are those reservations that you have made that have not been shared with the temple. Everyone else will see a dark blue icon indicating that those are "in process".
The Shared list contains those names that you have shared with the temple. For everyone but you who have shared the ordinances, they appear as green temple icons, meaning they can "grab and go."
For you, these names appear as dark blue indicating that they are in process. I had a discussion thread that dealt with this issue... for you to be able to take any of those names to the temple, you will first need to unshare the names which will cause them to move to your "My Reservation" page where they will appear as a green icon, but for everyone else, they will appear as a dark blue icon, meaning that they are under your control.
The Orange icon means that issues exist that need to be resolved before the ordinance(s) can be taken to the temple.
Gray, which others have reported are too close to the dark blue icon, indicate the vicarious ordinances are complete.
If there are specific issues that you have with the new list, then there may be an underlying reason for the change. However, we (users) cannot help until we know exactly what concerns you have with the new system.0 -
