Carla Williams said: It use to be that when you clicked on Help that a search bar came right up, now you have to go to the Help Center in order to search. This isn't very user friendly. Why was this changed?

Tom Huber said: Welcome to the community support forum for FamilySearch. FamilySearch personnel read every discussion thread and may or may not respond as their time permits. We all share an active interest in using the resources of this site and as users, we have various levels of knowledge and experience and do our best to help each other with concerns, issues, and/or questions.

The change was made well over a year ago and got a lot of complaints at the time. Some of us disparagingly call the Help Center, the Helpless Center because so much of the search is a guessing game as to what keywords to use in a search request.

I don't remember seeing a search bar when I clicked on help to activate the menu before then, either, but somewhere back in time, the search field was there.
