Minor Fault/Flaw:

"User Messaging" of "FamilySearch".

"Category" of "Discoveries".

The "Discovery" Messages are, either, being "Automatically" DELETED; or, just seem to DISAPPEAR!

Why?

I want ALL my "Messages", in "User Messaging" of "FamilySearch", in whatever "Category", to NOT be "Automatically" DELETED / REMOVED; or, DISAPPEAR.

How can we get those "Message" that have been "Automatically" DELETED / REMOVED; or, just DISAPPEAR, back? Can we?

'Thank You' in advance.

As such, once a campaign is completed, then I would expect the message to disappear.

But I really don't know if that is the case or not.

    I also suspect as much.

But, regardless, I DO NOT feel that those Messages should be "Automatically" DELETED / REMOVED; or, just DISAPPEAR.

What happens if the Messages were not noticed or accessed, do they still "Automatically" get DELETED / REMOVED; or, just DISAPPEAR - I think they do.

I want to have control over what I do with such (in fact, any) Messages.

    Brett

ps: I know your feelings on "Campaigns", like many.

It has been well over 2 Months since I raised this post; and, yet, my request has, neither, been acknowledged (ie. under consideration or not); or, been actioned (ie. "Deleted" Messages have NOT been "Reinstated" / "Restored").

Granted, this is a minor matter in the scheme of things, due to the many 'competing priorities' in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch"; plus, the other Parts of "Family Tree"; and, very 'limited' resources available to "FamilySearch"; but, I would still appreciate this to be addressed.

I had left some of this Messages to address at a later date - now, they have gone; and, I did NOT "Delete" them.

    ' Thank You' in advance.

Please STOP automatically "Deleting" / "Removing" the "Discovery" 'Messages'.

I DO NOT care if a particular "Campaign" is "Finished" (ie. taken its course).

Sometimes I do not have time to, either, look at; and/or, take action on, particular "Discovery" 'Messages'; but, I still want to investigate later on (sometimes, much latter on) down the track.

It is so infuriating, when I get time to go back and investigate, the "Discovery" 'Messages'; and, they have gone ...

I just had some time to spare; so, I went into the "Discovery" Category to investigate some of the "Discovery" 'Messages' I had not looked at; and, they were GONE - they were there this morning, afternoon now - and, they have gone - STOP it.

I DID NOT "Delete" them ...

So, "Please" DO NOT automatically "Delete" / "Remove" the "Discovery" 'Messages'; even, after a particular "Campaign" is "Finished" (ie. taken its course).

HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO REQUEST THIS!!!???

Please "Reinstate" / "Restore" ALL of MY "Discovery" 'Messages' that I have NOT "Deleted".

    'Thank You' in advance.

ps: It has been 7 Months since I raised this matter; and, NO response from an "Official 'FamilySearch' Representative" on this matter; nor, have MY "Discovery" 'Messages' that were "Deleted" by the "System" (and, NOT Me) been reinstated/resurrected!

JP said: We delete Discovery messages that have stale data associated with them. We have monthly campaigns that are tied to data for that month. They are automatically deleted so that they do not take the patron to a page that does not have the information they saw when they first clicked on the message.
