D. Llewelyn said: It sounds like Tom likes family search to quickly find names to take to the temple. Which is great, so I can see how he would like the update. I do not use family search to quickly find names to take to the temple. I take time to research, reserve ordinance work for direct ancestors (that my family takes to the temple) and to share their extended relatives ordinance work (inlaws, their children, etc) with the temple system, so that their work can be done. The new updates throw my reservations and shared reservations into the same blue pot, and it is time consuming to go through each person. When I see "green" or available show up, I think, "Great! There's some research and work here to be done." It is time consuming to then click on each green person, and then have to read and figure out that someone else has already done some research and shared the work. It's awesome that once work is shared, anyone can grab and go. Just make it a different color! I'm happy to do the research so people like Tom can grab and go (which is truly great). Just don't color code more than one thing the same color.0

Tom Huber said: See Jim Greene's official response in the https://getsatisfaction.com/familysea... discussion thread. It is long and run together, but says it all.
Any arguments are not with us users or Jime Greene or with FamilySearch. At the beginning of that long response, he said, "I am sure not everyone will like my answers, but all I can do is explain, I cannot force you to agree with me or with our directions. Let me just add that with all things temple we are not doing this capriciously, there is a council and a constant plea for inspiration and guidance and counsel."0 -

Tom Huber said: Feedback is one thing, but in most cases, unless there is an actual bug (computer generated error that can be validated), we should be proposing a solution to our concerns.
Continuing to post the same thing over and over violates the Code of Conduct: "Thread bumping and repetitive comments."
Generally speaking moderator(s) are pretty lenient for most of the code of conduct (with the exception of advertising and spam). But denigrating comments will eventually draw a "Folks, may I jump in and remind everyone of the Code of Conduct. Let's be kind to one another, please:)" and posts will be deleted. If the person persists, they can have their ability to post suspended.0 -
