Many people will not think of clicking for the full details that the user asked to be made public. And they will not see "Send a Message".
The dark box which appears during the hover can give people the impression that there is no more information to see. This is a pity, because valuable messages often need to be sent from the Changes list.

Tom Huber said: Since I have never hovered over a user's name at any place in FamilySearch, and I always click on the name to send a message, I don't have a problem with this.
I have sent message from the change log and they show up with a link to the log in my message list.0 -

Jeff_Luke said: I liked having the names in blue so it was obvious it was a link to more info.
I also don't like the new format for information in the contact box as much as the old one (currently still used on the 'person' tab).
There have been a lot of formatting changes being rolled on various views and they seem to have less information and be harder to navigate. I don't understand the purpose.
old format:
nicely formatted contents in box, easily distinguishable and icons help with identification
Person's name is shown (first name, last name) not just the user name
Relationship is shown (if linked)
Link/option to Enable Relationship Viewing is there
email displayed
send a message link is obvious.
new format (on Change List view):
formatting is strange (personal preference I suppose, but why isn't it either left/right or center justified?)
Username is large and bold, but sits right next to their user name anyway
Person's name is NOT shown, only the user name
Relationship not shown
Link/option to enable relationship viewing is NOT there. That makes it hard to figure out how to share a relationship without the link.

Tom Huber said: Wow. I just played around with my settings and there is something strange going on, though that may have been because I was looking at my own name contact information.
I don't care for the new name contact in the Change Log. It would be nice to be able to determine a relationship between me and the person I'm looking at. Hopefully, this does not spread to other sections of the change log.0 -
Tom Huber said: I just checked with a profile where both the contributor and I have our relationship enabled. It shows up when I click his name for his contact information outside the change log, but where it is particularly useful, the relationship is missing when I click his name in the change log.
This needs to be corrected.0
