Is there any way of dismissing Red Data Problems? If not can we get this added.

Don M Thomas said: Thank you very much Jeff, really appreciate you help. Took me awhile to come around to the Step-Father bit, but your, "There is no way that you should be able to dismiss data errors in order to hide incorrect information that has been entered on the site," has been ringing in my ears over night. Thanks again, - Don0

Jeff Wiseman said: Glad to help. Your situation really is kind of a "greasy" one, as a step-child is not technically correct here :-) But since we don't have a generic "non-biological" parent relationship, we are forced to use the closest thing.0

In that case the red warning generator code needs tweaking. You have a "step father" who died 11 years before the "stepdaughter" was born. That apparently doesn't trigger the warning code, but it certainly should. No such relationship existed. Abijah Thomas was NOT the stepfather of Hannah Crow. He died 11 years before she was born.
Would you PLEASE sort those relationships out so that they actually reflect reality!0 -

Don M Thomas said: Jeff, you state, "Furthermore, if you leave that couple relationship in place, someone is going to snatch it up via Ordinances Ready, and will go and do the sealing to spouses for those never marriage biological parents!"
Jeff, it appears that someone did already snatch them up, and has already preformed sealing to spouses for those never marriage biological parents!"
Therefore since the sealings have already been preformed, I am going to return Malinda A (Dalton) Thomas as the spouse to both James Chester Barton and William Crow in the FamilySearch "Family Tree."
At least your way, we have now in the change log, that Malinda was never married to James Chester Barton or William Crow.
Thanks again for you help. - Don0 -
David Newton said: Then we have a serious problem. Then someone else needs to go in, edit those relationships and get rid of the nonsense which is currently there.
Those profiles are objectively wrong. A step child relationship DOES NOT EXIST in the circumstances where you are purporting to have it exist
You have been told why those profiles are objectively wrong. You have refused to acknowledge that. This is not a matter of opinion. This is a matter of fact. Therefore this is willful ignorance on display.
I could say a great deal more, but I would likely get censored because I would not hold back or be gentle with you.0
