When you use the memories find and enter Joseph Clarence Hilton, as I understand, the system will display any occurrence of Joseph or Clarence or Hilton. If you enter "Joseph Hilton" you will only find this records where the combination of Joseph Hilton occurs. This is not quite as general as you asked for but by searching for the above and also "Clarence Hilton" and finally "Joseph Clarence Hilton" you should recover all of the specific memories you are interested in viewing. The use of quotes to isolate a specific phrase can be a very powerful limiter in the use of the memories Find function.
