Gordon Collett said: Steven, many people don't realize when they first come to this board that it is a public board that anyone can see. No one has to log on in any way. You have been posting here since 2014 so you should know this. It is fully accessible to Google searches:
You really should not post personal information like your phone number here.0 -
Steven Francis Illum said: I'm happy with that, but am still waiting for my phone call from you.0

Tom Huber said: Steve, this is a community-powered feedback forum. If you want to talk with someone, use the Contact Us (under Help) and the provided telephone number.
There may be problems with how you are accessing FamilySearch and your Temple list.
There are four supported browsers for web access: Chrome, Firefox, MS Edge (recently updated on Windows 10 computers), and Safari (for Mac computers and iOS devices). There are two apps -- one for Android mobile devices and one for iOS mobile devices.
Check to make sure your device and browser are up to date. FamilySearch does not support browsers further back than two updates. Chromium and Chrome are not the same browser.0 -
Steven Francis Illum said: No, it is the way it's designed that's the problem. I'm not sure about asking for a phone call from there becuz might just get a missionary who cannot address my problem.0

Tom Huber said: Steven, this is a feedback forum and as far as I know, no one will contact you. Most of us are users, just like you. FamilySearch personnel will read every message but will respond, only if they have time.
As far as the temple list goes, this is what it looks like using Chrome on a Windows 10 computer (with an ordinance filter selected):
and
The checkboxes are there. If they are not, please provide the device type/operating system and browser. Also, as Jim requested, provide a screen show showing that there are no checkboxes, similar to the ones that I provided.0 -
Steven Francis Illum said: I am 75, and have been doing fam hist since age 15, though I still consider myself only a novice. I've worked with printed materials that were designed for Books of Remembrance all the way up through all electronic versions of what we know of today as FT. I have contacted "Contact Us" now enough to have my prob memorized and distilled into a very simple explanation. I just spoke with another missionary who phoned me at my previous request to you, and he clearly understood my prob, but courteously explained that he could do nothing about it. I have been a FS missionary myself. I suggested that he escalate the best explanation he can of my prob, and request that an engineer who works with this phone me in hopes that my prob may be solved. Thank you.0

FamilySearch Moderator said: Steven, without seeing your screen I'll take a guess. When you do the Filter it opens another window/panel. Make sure your screen is wide enough to still see the list and you should see the checkboxes. Also, there is a tiny X in the upper right of the Filter window. Click that to dismiss the filters and you should see the check boxes.0

Tom Huber said: I will turn 76 in a few months, so age is not an issue. What is is that you are not following through with the request to provide an image of what you are seeing.
I don't know what computer (if it is a computer) or mobile device you are using, but no one can help you without more information. If you are using a computer, then capture the screen and post that in a reply (comments do not have the option). That way we can quickly tell you what you need to do.
Also, provide the operating system and browser when you experience this issue.0 -
Steven Francis Illum said: It will take personal conversation with someone in authority. You have already seen the screen, and a missionary & I have already discussed it. One person says he will phone me on Sunday, but I suspect he is just another missionary.

Tom Huber said: Your original post said you saw no boxes. They are there. I just checked and narrowing the screen on a computer leaves the boxes in place.
You are making absolutely no sense and without a doubt, the support missionaries you have worked with may feel the same.
Please provide a screen showing exactly what you are talking about.0 -
Tom Huber said: By the way, if there is a temple icon there in place of a box, that means the temple has printed an ordinance slip.0

Steven Francis Illum said: Yes, I've seen the boxes. A screen shot will do nothing. You need to be taught what is needed. If you have the courage, you will phone me and go through the process with me so you will begin to comprehend what the problem is.0

FamilySearch Moderator said: Steve: You seem to not understand how a community forum works. Most of the people that post are members of the community just like you. They provide answers and help suggestions out of the goodness of their heart. They are not set up to provide phone support, nor is phone support any part of this forum. If you desire to talk to someone you need to dial familysearch support (866-406-1830) and resolve your issues with them. Engineers and product managers have their hands full and are not a part of the support infrastructure. Sometimes they participate in these community forums, but they are not required to. If you cannot resolve your issue through working with community members, or through the prescribed support channels then there is nothing more we can do for you. Please do not request phone support on this forum.0

Tom Huber said: You haven't told us what you want (that is needed). You stated in your original post
there are no boxes to check in the left-hand margin
so what is it that isn't there and what is it you want?
If you cannot tell us, then there is nothing that we can do to help.0
