Jean Worster said: In the 1940 Census, Carroll Plantation, Penobscot, Maine, line 38, this is Ervin M Worster, not Lavin an in the transcription. Refer to 1930, 1920 census records and birth records from 1917, father George Milo Worster, mother Mytle Tucker.

    A van Helsdingen said: Beside the name in a 1940 US Census record, you should see the word "edit". If you click on this, you can make the correction.

    This feature is only available for certain fields in certain records. If you don't see the word edit beside any indexed/transcribed data, then it is not possible to have it changed, not even by a FS Staff member.
