Jeff Felix said: Lately the indexed marriages from the parish of Sirnach, Thurgau, Switzerland have also been appearing duplicated in Affeltrangen in the indexed records of Switzerland. These latter are not correct. At some point a number of them got copied from Sirnach and now appear in both Sirnach and Affeltrangen. While sometimes marriages were recorded in multiple places in the original parish records, this is not the case here, and I've looked a multiple cases where the one in Sirnach is correct, but the one in Affeltrangen is not. This appears to be an artifact of the indexed records only. Examples Baschi HUBER (LWD3-R66)/Barbara LEUTENEGGER 29 Mar 1734 or Hans Georg HUBER (KH47-K9F)/Maria GREUTER 23 Nov 1713. Not a big problem, but it is false information.

Are these coming from historic records, or tree persons?

Can you provide a link on the site to what you are referring to?

    Thank you!
