    In my opinion, it would be ideal if the last chronological marriage event was listed, whether it was a marriage, a divorce, or an annulment. Common Law marriages are legal entities that is not recognized by all jurisdictions. I do not have any of those in my ancestry, so I don't know if there are records of common law marriages.
