Make Gender Field Editable on Indexed Records

The "Gender" field is not editable, thus there is no way to correct this (other than submitting a ticket, which becomes tedious and requires more work than necessary on both parts). Please make this field editable for correction. For an example of an indexing error related to gender, see this daughter that is listed as MALE: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/619.... Even ignoring the name, the record clearly indicates that she is female (M=Mujer, not Male!) - both explicitly, and well as in the gender of the adjectives.

We all share an active interest in using the resources of this site and as users, we have various levels of knowledge and experience and do our best to help each other with concerns, issues, and/or questions.
The editing feature has not been completely developed, so it may be some time before you will be able to edit that part of the index.
The question is whether or not the problem is with all index entries, or only this one. If it is a problem with all index entries, then it qualifies as what I call a "gross indexing error" and is something that needs to be addressed by FamilySearch.
In the meantime, when you attach the source to the record, add a note to the source that is attached to the child's profile that explains the error.
Since it is now the weekend, it will be Monday before this reaches the appropriate team(s) that can take care of the gross error.0
