Warren A Smith said: If you shrink an image so it touches both sides either vertically or horizontally, the attachment will fail. This has been happening for about 2 weeks now.
Workaround - Shrink picture till it just misses one of the boarders and it will attach the portrait.
Setup to reproduce the problem - https://www.familysearch.org/tree/per... select the image and shrink it down and select it.

Tom Huber said: I had no problem attaching the photo of the gravestone to the portrait, other than the image is too large, but I was able to attach it as a full-sized image where both sides touched the edge of the display area, or shrunk it down to where it did not.0

Tom Huber said: There is another problem, though. and it has to do with copyright. Unless you have permission from the photographer, Steve Carlson, or took the photograph yourself, you are in violation of copyright law if you use the photograph with FamilySearch.

Therefore, I removed the photograph from the Portrait. If you have permission from the photographer (it is not granted in his biographical information on Find a Grave), then there is no issue, but you should credit him with the photograph in the memory.
I was able to attach the photograph with Chrome on a Windows 10 computer. the issue may be related to your browser/operating system (or mobile device).0
