Missing census records
I was not able to find a 1900 census record for someone living in Busti, Chautauqua, New York, so I tried looking on ancestry.com instead. Lo and Behold, there it is!
But it's more convenient to link a source from familysearch.com, so I tried to find it there again. Searching for the exact data from the census--nothing. Manually going through the 1900 census images for New York, Chautauqua county, ... Where's Busti?!
So I compared the list of locations on ancestry for Chautauqua county:
http://interactive.ancestry.ca/7602/N...
With the list on familysearch.com:
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3...
(click on the Chautauqua link on both pages to see the list of townships or districts)
You will see that familysearch is completely missing the census records for the townships of Arkwright, Busti, Carroll, and Charlotte (enumeration districts 73-77).
I've suspected similar problems in the past, but I was able to definitely confirm that familysearch has a problem this time.
Has anyone else noticed similar problems?
And can anyone fix it?

I have the same problem. The 1920 Census for Brockway, PA is missing, at least in part. If I drill down from 1920/Pennsylvania/Jefferson County/the next is a list of townships but Brockway/Brockwayville borough is not listed. I found it in the Brookville section (the county seat) in Enumeration District 140 but it is incomplete. Of the people I know lived there in 1920, there are no listings for Scarnati, Caruso, Cantafio and many others. I've looked in different townships with no luck. In doing a general search in the 1920 Census I find nothing. What can be done? Who to notify? Is it a quirk? Are they lost?

Thomas, Brockway is surrounded by Snyder township. Could the people you're looking for have been living in a place that counted as the township, not the borough?
There's a Caruso family on sheet 22A of ED 140 (image 43 of 48): https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-9RXH-SW4?i=42

This 1910 census page was not indexed, either. This was unfortunate because the wife's father was living with them and not connected in Family Tree until I found the record in Ancestry.com. Are there plans to index these missed census pages?
