Hi there. Have you tried looking in the FamilySearch Wiki under Barbados? Most of the links are for people who died a hundred years or so ago, but if you look at the information choices on both the left and right side of that site, you will find lots of ideas on how to search for people in Barbados. Hopefully, they will lead you to more information on Aubrey Roberts. Best of luck.

Hello Family Bible, I trying to find out who Thomas Aubrey Lesli Roberts married? I am told it was to a Anthanette Delores...they had no children. I am still trying to find out who were his parents. Thanks

Hello Family Bible Community, The link you so kindly sent me gave some information on
Aubrey Roberts, but I am still trying to find out who his parents were....I can't seem to find this information anywhere. I have been trying to get in touch with The Cathedral of St Marks, to check their records because Aubrey Roberts was burried there in 2005, also a few of his ancestors. Any suggestions on how I would be able to have a look through their Records. Thank you. Tara

Hello Tara, thank you for opening another door I've been searching on for a number of years. I've just connected firmly that (Thomas) Aubrey L Roberts father is James D L Roberts, (listed also on the headstone). His mother would be then Mildred B Payne. Also on the same headstone are his grandmother Catherine Ann M Roberts and number of aunts and uncles. If you go to the Find a Grave site they are posted with a picture in the Cathedral of St. Michael & All Angels location. There it lists Ivy Muriel Roberts, (also on the headstone), as his spouse but I haven't found record confirmation of this yet. As you know a great deal of records have been lost to hurricanes and fires so every tid bit helps. My connection to Aubrey is through my 2nd great grandfather's brother, James Henry Roberts who would have been Aubrey's great grandfather. This all leads to up to a Richard Roberts, (1766 - 1838), where records just stop. I wasn't sure where they came from exactly but they ended up near Hanson in St. George. Believe you mention a plantation called the Farm? I'm thinking it possibly relates with a Roberts listed on old maps produced between 1736 and 1817 that's on the outskirts of Bridgetown. Again there are no apparent records of this property or people that can be found, only the map listing. If you have any more information on the Farm or the people mentioned surrounding it would be appreciated. Regards...James
