If you could choose the answer to your cquestion - what would it be? (how would you prefer that it work)
Im guesing it stays ignored forever . . . when you click "ignore" it almost like you are saying "this is not a match " or "I dont want to do this temple work"
its usually a pretty defininate answer.
BUT help us understand . . . why are you asking the question in the first place?
did you inadvertantly click "ignore" when you didnt mean to?
Keep in mind most actions can still take place - simply that they dont show up in your recommendced task list if you say to "ignore" - you just have to nitiate the action manually.

Hello Dawn, Good question. You can get it back if you decide you need the source, by going to the Person Page and look on Research Helps on the right side of the Gray area.
Click on the blue Show All.
Then there are the Dismissed or Ignored Helps you can pick up later.
FamilySearch.org does not use the Word Ignored for sources. I think that Ancestry does. If you are referring to Ancestry, I believe you can get those back. But I don't know for sure. On Ancestry, I just leave them unless they are way off in the source.
Thank you,

Unfortunately I don't know how to print screens here but I'll try to explain. I've been going through "Recommended Tasks" on my Family Search Home. I've selected records. There it lists names then record hints for each name with the option to review or ignore. After reviewing some records I haven't seen how the connect but I'm not ready to definitively say they are not a match. I just want to get them off the list for a while until I have more information later. I can undo ignore right away but I'd like to bring that task back after a period of time say six months or a year. The record hint also is still listed on the individual's page even though it's no longer on the task list. I've gone through all the records on the Recommended Tasks list and I've acquired more information about my people. Now I want to go back to all those records again and see if I can make use of them. I know I could do that by going to each individual's page, but the task list is very handy.

I really dont think there is a way to "bring them back"
but all you would need is some sort of "reseacrh log" you could maintain in a WORD document
and then all you would need to do is store the PID's or URLs of the perople/reocrds in question
and you could go back to it at any time.

Hello Dennis,
So If you "ignore" on that page, will it show up in the Dismissed Helps area of the person page?
Just wondering.

No it is not dismissed and stays on the person page. It's just ignored from the task list. So if I can't do a long term undo ignore, all is not lost. The recommended task list is is very handy for staying focused.
