How do I add a suffix?
I have a SR and the son with the same name does not have a suffix. I want to add JR to eliminate confusion, but not sure how to do that. Thanks!

Hi Julie. I am guessing that you are indexing. So I am going to share your question with the group that has questions and answers - @Indexing Chat. Sr and Jr are not indexed unless there is a field for suffixes or titles and terms. If you aren't already a member of Indexing Chat, I hope you will join the group.
If this question is about FamilyTree, just let us know and someone will be along to help with that too.

Just in case ...
.
IF, your (General) 'Question' relates to "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' (rather than "Indexing"); THEN, ...
.
UNLESS the, "Senior"; and/or, "Junior", is PART of their "Legal" (eg. Registered/Recorded) Name ...
.
DO NOT add the "Suffix" of, either, "Senior"; and/or, "Junior", to their Name.
.
There is NO need to differentiate between them, by adding via a non-actual "Suffix", to their Name .
.
WHY do you believe there is such/would be any confusion?
.
Just because, a Father; and, a Son, have the same Name, DOES NOT mean their is/will be confusion.
.
IF, they were "Also Known As", either, "Senior"; and/or, "Junior", during their lifetime; THEN, you can add that as an "Alternate Name" in the "Other Information" Section.
.
In "Knowledge Articles" in 'FamilySearch':
