How do I request that a document be reindexed? The indexed dates conflict and I cannot read the docu
The indexed info shows a birth of 27 Jul 1774 and a baptism date of 29 Apr 1774, which is impossible. The document is difficult to read and I cannot find what is correct. I am wondering if it can be flagged or resubmitted to be indexed again to be corrected. Thanks

Well I can see this didn't get answered yet. So I'll try to help a bit.
You may need to ask a family history center person how to get it re-indexed.
But...if its a column and row log book with other records in it you'd be able to use the other dates to figure out the right month. Like, what months are the dates for the person right in front of, and right in back of that name? That may give you enough to have the month and year. That's enough to get the ball rolling.
If its a translation problem preventing you from moving ahead, then you can use google translate to figure out what column heads are saying.
When you ask it to be fixed, you can take a snapshot of the the record with particular regards to how to find it, the name, numbers of the record to make it easier for them to give attention to it.

@User15866568505162073000 there is an indexing chat that may also help you in the future. The link is
Happy Indexing

This is a question from December 2020. While the link is a good description of when to return a batch, now there is a form that you can use to alert FamilySearch that you are returning a batch for reindexing.
To access the form:
- With the Batch open, click on the Help Tab.
- Click on Labs.
- Activate the "Reason to Reindex Batch" by following the instructions.
