Fold3 access from Family Search

So suddenly today the link doesn't work and every open page results in a request to subscribe or log in. I have been using this source a lot and this is a real frustration. Course I could pay the subscription rate at Fold3...

I do not know about access to "Fold3", through 'FamilySearch', from Home ...

[ As, I have never been able to access "Fold3" through 'FamilySearch from Home ]

That said ...

As far as I was aware, Users/Patrons can STILL get access to "Fold3" at/through a "Family History Centre" of the Church (and, possibly, an "Affiliate" Library), around the World.

.

Well, the latter was the case yesterday; as, a User/Patron of our "Family History Centre" was accessing "Fold3" through one of the "Family History Centre" computers - I know, as I was helping them.

.

Unless something has changed between yesterday and today ...

.

At my FHC, I can't I find Fold3, newspapers.com or the other extremely useful websites. Why has FamilySearch destroyed the Portal?

This appears to be a KNOWN problem/issue.

You may want to look at the response (ie. "Comment'), from a "Moderator" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" ( Personnel ) in this recent post, earlier today:
