    .

    FYI

    .

Users/Patrons CAN add "Memories" in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', at any time, from Home, themselves.

    .

Or, are you referring to using the 'Lexmark' "Printer", at a "Family History Centre', to, BOTH, "Scan" your "Photographs"; and, then, upload those scanned photographs to the individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'?

    .

    Please advise.

    .

Here are some "Knowledge Articles" in 'FamilySearch':

    .

How do I upload memories to FamilySearch?

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-upload-photos-or-documents-to-memories

    .

What rules apply to uploading memories to FamilySearch.org?

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/what-rules-apply-to-uploading-memories-to-familysearch-org

    .

    I hope this helps.

    .

Depending on where you live ...

    .

[ We are lucky; as, many of our "Family History Centres" from "Down Under", have "Reopened" ]

    .

Are, there any 'local' Libraries, close by, that are open; and, that have the ability to, SCAN; and/or, "Digitise", "Photographs"?

    .

What about, Family/Relations; or, friends, do any of them have the ability to, SCAN; and/or, "Digitise", "Photographs"?

    .

And, there are always the "Office Supply" Stores (again, depending where you live) that have the ability to, SCAN; and/or, "Digitise", those "Photographs" - it may cost a small fee, to do so.

    .

    And ...

    As an aside ...

    .

There are some (Multipurpose, All-in-one) "Printers", that, Print; (Photo)Copy; Scan; and, Digitize, that are reasonably cheap; and, still do a reasonable job - it may be worth while buying one.

    .

The actual, "Scanning"; and/or, "Digitising", is easy.

    .

And, when you have the, "Scanned"; and/or, "Digitised", Image of the "Photograph", it is easy to upload into the "Memories" of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', from home.

    .

    Just some thoughts.

    .

    Brett

    .

ps: Unfortunately, the 'Lexmark' Printers in our "Family History Centres", ("Down Under"), no longer upload a, "Scanned"; and/or, "Digitised", Image DIRECTLT into "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'. We were told something about (to do with) that ability is no longer supported, by the contract, through "Lexmark'.

most scanners will scan to a default folder in your documents area.

and you an just pick up the file form there.

    here are some basics:

    http://yanceyfamilygenealogy.org/scanner.htm

I would see if you could find a family member or friend who could get you started.

    .

As you have a SCANNER, then, you are almost there ...

    .

    Take the "Challenge" ...

Read the "Manuals" ... most are easy and straight forward.

    Take your time ...

    Teach yourself ...

    .

Or, get Family/Relations; or, friends, to help you through the process; and, learn.

    .

There are 'On-Line' Videos and Tutorials ...

Take a look at those "Links" that 'Dennis' has provide, below ...

    Nothing ventured, nothing gained ...

    .

It might take a little while, for you to feel comfortable to SCAN; but, once you have got used to it (ie. the hang of it), it will be easy ... just takes time and practice

    .

The SCANNERS can "Save" the "Photographs"/"Documents"/whatever in a number of DIFFERENT formats ... eg. .jpg ; .png ; .tif ; .bmp ; PDF ... those of which are suitable for "Memories" in 'FamilySearch'.

    .

Again, here are some "Knowledge Articles" in 'FamilySearch':

    .

How do I upload memories to FamilySearch?

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/what-rules-apply-to-uploading-memories-to-familysearch-org

    .

    Take the "Challenge" ...

    .

    Good Luck.
