This is my 1st time on this forum, sorry if this question is incorrect.
I am looking to obtain a copy of a death/burial record that I have found on Family Search, I believe this could be my Great Grand Father. I cannot get to a Family history centre.

    Catherine

    .

    FYI

    .

As the "Family History Library" (FHL) of the Church, in "Temple Square" in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA is still currently TEMPORALITY "Closed" (to the Public) due to the "COVID-19" Pandemic ...

    .

    And ...

    .

IF, the "Family History Centres" of the Church (or, "Affiliate" Libraries) nearest you are still TEMPORARILY "Closed" due to the "COVID-19" Pandemic ...

    .

Or, you just cannot get to a "Family History Centre" of the Church (or, "Affiliate" Library) ...

    .

THEN, can I humbly suggest that you consider trying the following ...

    .

    As such ...

    .

You could try one of the FREE 'On-Line' Consultations through the "Family History Library" (FHL) of the Church in, "Temple Square", Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

    .

Here is some links were you can access/book one of those Consultations ...

    .

Engage with the Family History Library Online

    https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Engage_with_the_Family_History_Library_Online

    .

    FHL _ 2 _ OnLine _ 1.

    Family History Library Online Consultations

    https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Family_History_Library_Online_Consultations

    .

    FHL _ 2 _ OnLine _ 2.

I have seen/heard some good positive 'Feedback' from those who have used the service.

    .

    But ...

    That said ...

    .

Please be aware that you CANNOT be provided with a actual "Image" of that Record; but, you may be able to get (or, confirm) the information/details/data that you desire.

    .

    Good Luck.

    .

ps: And, here is a 'FamilySearch' "Blog" Article on the FREE 'On-Line' Consultations through the FHC ...

    As an aside ...

    .

    You could always try:

    .

    Give it a go ...

    .

    I hope this helps.

My best guess is that the record and image ought to be on FindMyPast in their collection "British India Office Deaths & Burials". However, I cannot find Frederick Darlan under those details.

I can search FMP on 1920 burials at a place of Bilaspur plus 3 similar variants, but, while I can see some Bilaspur burial images for some quarters in that year, the 2nd quarter doesn't appear. It does appear to imply that the image will be a copy of a burial record from an Indian Parish Register.

According to the FS Index Record, the data is on the "film"

    Digital Folder Number 005138469

So I have a horrible feeling that FMP don't have the image in question, which means that you need to get hold of someone who has access to a Family History Centre - or presumbly a full LDS member account - as Brett suggests.

@Adrian Bruce1 Thank you Adrian for taking the time to look for me.

I have emailed a local Family history centre (currently closed) in the hope that someone may get back to me.
