Are there differences on youth accounts in FamilySearch?

Hi!

I work with the youth in our ward and we would like to do an indexing project. I created a group and my fellow councilor could join, but I can not invite or add the youth to the group. They assure me they have accounts. They also do not appear in the automatic ward and stake group. Could it be that youth accounts have different settings? Is there a way for them to join a closed group?

Thanks for any help!

Assuming you are an "Admin" for your Ward ("Indexing") ...

    .

    Questions:

    .

Is that, a (New) "Sub-Group"; or, a (new) 'Group' altogether, that was created?

    .

Obvious question; but, how did you try you, "Invite"; and, "Added", the youth in your Ward to the (new) 'Group'?

    .

What is the "Age" of those youth?

    .

Here is a "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySearch':

    .

How do I create a free account for a child?

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-create-a-free-account-for-a-child

    .

    Following on from that ...

    .

IF, they are between 8 and 13 Years of age; THEN, perhaps, "Parental Permission" is required (ie. an "E-mail" is sent to their Parents, that needs to be actioned).

    .

    Whereas ...

IF, they are 13 Years or older; THEN, you would expect that there would no such problem/issue; or, impediment.

    .

    But ...

    That said ...

    .

Perhaps, for those youth 13 Years or older; as, they were/are Members of record, the "E-mail" Address that was ORIGINALLY associated with their 'FamilySearch' Account is that of their Parents; and, that is the problem/issue.

    .

For the youth 13 Years or older, get the youth to "Check" what "E-mail" Address is associated with their particular 'FamilySearch' Account.

    .

    Furthermore ...

    .

    As an aside ...

    .

I am also "Tagging" this (General) 'Question' of yours, in the 'Group' being "Indexing Chat", in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, to the 'Group' being "Genetic Genealogy Research", in the Forum; so that, the members of that group can answer/assist you.

    .

    .

ps: That Group is "Public", which you can join, if you wish.

base on my experience once they start to do indexing like in a ward level and they finish one batch, the name of participants is automatically generated in the system wherein you can view the name who ever that person. like my case am serving in the stake i can view the names of every person who do the indexing etheir on the stake or ward level as long you can navigate where to find the reports in the group.
