Good day, I am hoping you might provide an answer to my question. I have been using your services si
digitalized yet so I cannot view them. Particularly film # 1981413. This is from the Roman Catholic Church in Polov, Slovakia. Is there any idea when these films will be digitalized and ready to view. Currently Film 1981412 and 1981414 are both viewable online.
Thanking you in advance.

'Yes', the Church STOPPED distributing Fiche and Film around October 2017.
.
But, what you were told, about all was now on-line, is NOT correct; as, you are not doubt very well aware.
.
Although, many Records have been, both, "Indexed"; and/or, "Digitised", there are Records that still have not been, both, "Indexed"; and/or, "Digitised".
.
Whereas, MORE importantly, there are Records that have been, both, "Indexed"; and, "Digitised"; but, are NOT (and, may never be, in the foreseeable future) available 'On-Line'.
.
There are MANY reason WHY Records are NOT on-line.
.
One of the main ones being that the Record "Custodian" has NOT given PERMISSION / AUTHORITY for such.
.
Another one being that the 'On-line' ("Commercial") PAID (ie. "Subscription") Websites pay a Fee to the Record "Custodian", for access to; and, permission/authority to display, such Records; and, 'FamilySearch' is requested to, not make such available; or, take them down.
.
But, there are a myriad of reasons.
.
Whenever the Church goes to a Record "Custodian" to request permission to "Film" the Records, the Church (ie. 'FamilySearch') enters into Contractual Agreements/Arrangements with the Record "Custodian".
.
You must understand that:
.
- There are COUNTLESS Records, all around the World.
.
- And, there are COUNTLESS Record "Custodians", all around the World.
.
- Naturally, of course, the Church (ie. 'FamilySearch') must enter into COUNTLESS Contractual Agreements/Arrangements with the various Record "Custodians".
.
It is a, legal; and, logistical, 'mine field' and 'nightmare'.
Luckily, the Church has been doing so for over 125 Years.
.
Now ...
That said ...
.
FYI
.
IF, a Film has a "DGS" number; THEN, the "Film" HAS been "Digitised".
.
It may just be the case that the Film CANNOT be made available on-line.
.
Finally ...
In the case of Film number 1981413 ...
.
That Film HAS been "Digitised"; as, it has a "DGS' number.
.
This is ODD ...
.
When I just used the 'FamilySearch' "Catalogue", that Film FIRST had a "Key" Icon above the "Camera" Icon, indicating that the Film was "Restricted" (to access on-line), them moments later, when I looked again, the "Key" Icon was GONE!!!???
.
[ I tried from Home, both, as a Member of the Church; and, as a non-member ]
.
Can I humbly suggest you try again ...
.
Miraculously, it appears that all those Films ( 1981412; 1981413; &, 1981414 ) SEEM, for 'all intents an purposes' to be, now, available on-line, without any restrictions, to all.
.
Give it a go ...
.
IF, it still not available on-line; THEN, check to see if there is a "Key" Icon above the "Camera" Icon, which indicates some form of "Restriction"; and, let us know.

When I viewed these records in the Catalog here: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/743581?availability=Family History Library I was able to access all three films from a non-LDS account in New Zealand.
Make sure that you are logged in before using the Catalog. A recent change to the Catalog has caused problems for those who are not signed in.
Some records are restricted to certain countries. I've seen many European records in the Catalog that say the records cannot be distributed/published to people in Europe. This would be at the request of the record owner. The Catholic Church has a well known dispute with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints about ordinances for the death. Therefore, they restrict access to their records to reduce the number of Latter Day Saints who can view them.

Hi Brett, Thanks for the updated reply. For some unknown reason I can now also view that film which I was not able to view earlier. Not really sure what happened but I appreciate you looking into this matter and explaining some of the politics involved with these church records.
Take care and keep safe.
Regards
George
