How does someone go about gaining access to a copyrighted publication listed in the FamilySearch archives?

I am interested in the Adkins family line and note a number of publications that may be relevant to my research. Sadly the ones that may have relevance are copyright protected.

    A link of possible interest on the ADKINS family

    also you might be interested in placing some of your surnames of interest here;

    . . . usually you visit the Family History Library in person and see the books there

    or use WORLDCAT to find a library closer to you that has a copy.

    https://www.worldcat.org/

    OR better yet if you are really interested in the info you can contact the author if they are alive.

    Thank you for this quick response.

    My challenge will be to determine which of many publications is most relevant to my research. Unless I can gain some idea of the publication's content, my checklist of books to pursue will be beyond reasonable.

    Again - thank you.

    that is a key challenge that all of us as genealogists face.

    If you can contact the author it makes it so much easier.

    BUT Google book index - is a miraculous tool - for even getting into copyrighted books
