    .

IF, you are referring to OTHER "Branches" of this SINGLE "One" World "Tree" that is "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; THEN, you need to find the "Connections", through research.

    .

We do not have our OWN "Tree" in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

    .

We ONLY have "Branches" (ie. Ancestral" lines), that are interconnected, in this SINGLE "One" World "Tree", for all of us, that is "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

    .

"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is NOT like 'On-Line' "Websites" (eg. "Ancestry_com"; or "MyHeritage_com"; or, the like); and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes (eg, the OLD, now no longer supported, "PAF"; or, "Ancestral Quest"; or, the like).

    .

We DO NOT have "Private"/"Personal" 'Trees' in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' like other 'On-Line' "Websites"; and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes.

    .

We do not even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, the "Deceased" individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

    .

"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is built on a "Open Edit" Platform - hence, why any registered User/Patron can "Edit" (ie. Add, Delete; and/or, Change) ANY "Deceased" individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

    .

Basically, you need to add the many and various "Links" in the "Chain"; and, in some cases, you may need to "Build" some "Bridges" with "Living" individuals/persons, with the "Deceased" individuals/persons, to connect all the "Branches" together.

    .

It is all about research and investigation.

    .

It is not a quick and easy process, it takes time.

    .

And, there are well OVER 1 BILLION individuals/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

    .

Plus, "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is used by, MANY, Many, many, Users/Patrons from ALL around the World.

    .

"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' covers the whole World, it is NOT just limited to one Country/Nation/Continent - but, MANY.

    .

    Just some thoughts.

what is laffoon?? a person? a surname?

    @joseph king

Can you elaborate a bit. Is it in FamilySearch.org, My Tree, MyHeritage, Ancestry, or what have you? I don't know what Laffoon is.

Do you have names, places, ages, and perhaps an ID for the people you want to merge?

    Thank you,

    @Anitra Whittle

you found her here in FamilySearch? or you found her on Ancestry??

can you just contact her on Ancestry and ask her if he family is her on FamilySearch?

keep in mind - people dont have "private" family trees here in FS - the way they do in Ancestry.

    .

Just use the 'Tree' that you found in "Ancestry_com" as a "Guide" ...

    .

Find where that 'Tree' in "Ancestry_com" should link/connect to your "Ancestral" Lines (ie. "Branches") in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

    .

Add an "Living" individuals/persons that "Bridge" the "Gap(s)" between, the "Living"; and, the "Dead".

    .

Use the "Find" feature/facility/function in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' to see if those in the 'Tree' that you found in "Ancestry_com" are ALREADY there in "Family Tree"; and, IF, they (some; or, many) are; THEN, most of the 'hard work' is already done.

    .

As I already indicated, ONLY use the 'Tree' that you found in "Ancestry_com" as a "Guide", they are NOT all perfect; but, they can certainly be a good guide.

    .

I use the 'Trees' in "Ancestry_com" as a "Guide".

    .

Some are well "Sourced" and "Documented".

    Whereas, some are definitely NOT.

Every little 'piece of the puzzle' helps.

    .

    Just my thoughts.
